The last post was the first part of Wardrobe Essentials for everyone. Men and Women alike can have difficulty with the wardrobe essentials, I know I have been there and needed some help which I learned from...pageants. Yes, being apart of local pageants has given me a understanding of:
- What to wear for different types of events, parties, galas, meetings and dates.
- How to shop and be frugal yet trendy. A combination many people don't realize is possible, one I didn't think was possible at the time.
- Wardrobe pieces that can be used in more than 1 way. When you have 2 minutes to do a complete wardrobe change. Whatever you can do to speed up the transition is very helpful and great for the future. You never know when you will need to do a quick change.
6. Good Sweater
What does a good sweater mean exactly? That's a question I asked myself when I left for college at 18 and my mom asked me "did you pack sweaters?" I, as my very smart 18 year old self was sure I had it all and was ready for college.
Here is something people hardly ever say "I WAS WRONG!" that took me some growing up to admit. But what I learned about a great sweater... It is versatile and works in multiple settings.
A simple cardigan can be used in so many outfits that it is truly versatile. This shows two different cardigans and how it creates 10 different and unique outfits, if you notice, some of the wardrobe pieces are used throughout the pictures.
A fun sweater should also be in your closet. Why not have something to throw on and feel fun, flirty and fabulous in. I have this sweater, its so comfortable, fits great and looks so cute on, especially with my hair in a bow bun. (tutorial to follow) This is my favorite sweater, I even have five dresses, that go to my knee's or longer, one has a collar and I wear this over the top with the collar sitting on the outside. It looks adorable and transform a summer dress into a fall or winter dress.

A man wearing sweaters? Does that happen? the fact is yes, and not just as the butt of a joke or as Bill Cosby Halloween outfit.
Men's sweaters can be a fashion statement that go far beyond the traditional sense of the word.

Men's sweaters can be worn as recreational, sports related, or even business casual. Did you ever think it was something you would try? Men, it's not feminine to wear a sweater, it can be a great mid weight option for those fall, winter, spring or even cooler summer days. Have you worn a sweater?
A great light weight option this cardigan worn by a very attractive male model pairs with khaki's and a button up shirt. It looks casual yet would be nice enough for business lunch or meeting.

A cardigan for men can also be a fashion statement and used to look cool and trendy, this is a great set and could be worn to a date, night club, or even some business meetings that are on the more casual side. I really like sweaters on men when worn right. Don't try to pull of crazy sweaters like Bill Cosby, he is one of the only men on the planet who can pull those off successfully.
7. Athletic Shoes
When you think of Athletic shoes, do you believe that would be these lovely shoes literally meant for athletic workouts and activities. But for fashion, while these look great, they are not the athletic shoes I was talking about. When I talk about Athletic shoes I mean every day shoes you can rock fashion wise and that are comfortable for those little piggies.
These shoes are my every day shoes.
So the best part about athletic shoes is that no matter how hard you wear them, you can clean them easily. I throw all of my every day shoes (pictured above) in the wash and they always come out grand. I don't dry them in the dryer, I find that it shrinks the rubber soles where the sun gets them just as dry and retains shape.
Pantyhose is great for creating a smooth, seamless line that looks great for every leg and makes for a confident tall posture. I wear them for

| My Every Day Shoes |
- The first pair, yellow converse with zippers, are extremely convenient to wear and I never have to untie them. Plus, the bright colors are totally my style and the unique zipper style add's a modern touch that hardly any shoe has.
- Second: Is the double high converse that I got to custom design. I love these and they are my second pair of custom converse that you can make on the converse webpage. I love that they match and look good with the clothing I already wear and that they have my name on them, even cooler right? You can add whatever you want with them too! Try it!
- Third Pair: Black and sequined, these are not converse but actually from JcPenny and are about four years old. They don't require laces and slip on easily and I wore them to home coming in my senior year. Why not go all out with your foot wear. I have worn down the inside and so I had to buy $20 insoles that keep me from completely wearing down the rubber.These snooks with a subdued tribal print are a great idea to have as an every day athletic type of shoes. Comfortable, easy to slip on and fit with numerous types of outfits.

Men's Shoes
Every guy needs at least one if not two pairs of good athletic shoes that he can go to in an every day setting. Van's, Converse, Nike, Addidas, Puma and any others you can think of that I can't are great options for every day athletic shoes that can work with most outfits.8. Undies that Work
Do you remember my post on wearing the correct underwear? Well It's What's Underneath that Counts is a great post about having the proper underwear for every occasion. That is the same for here. You need undies.
Having the correct underwear for every occasion is key, especially if you are going to wear white. White does not mean white underwear.

| Nude is Sexy |
It's better to wear nude underwear, and thin flat underwear that does not bulge and does not draw attention to itself from underneath the clothing.
Men
It's important to wear the correct underwear and to be open to trying new ideas, I know many women will ask you "boxers or briefs" but in reality, she really wont care when it really gets down to it. I say
1. wear what is comfortable to you
2. what fits under your clothing and does not bulge or fit funny

9. Black Socks/Hose
Black socks? Sounds like something your High School Marching Band teach would tell you to have for friday night football right? Well, in the real world, though Bowling for Soup was correct in that High School Never Ends, black socks are important for everything from
- Job Interviews
- Business Meetings
- Weddings
- Prom/Socials
- Dates
- Every Day
- Funerals
- Marching Band
But this still leaves the question, why are black socks so important? why can't I just wear long pants and my regular socks? Because when you sit down, walk or just move in general, your pants move and your shoes socks are revealed allowing people to see your socks, and your eye will be drawn to white. even white skin will draw the eye.
This is what it looks like to have your white socks and black pants mixed. It's not a good look and certainly not one that people want to be walking around with on a daily basis. Having socks to mach pants will go a long way in life. Now women need black socks as well but they have something that I have never heard be the favorite of someone, that would be Hose.

There are so many reasons that tights and pantyhose are great for men and women that they should be apart of everyone's wardrobe drawer. Just in case.
10. Dirty Clothing.
Yes, I want you to keep dirty clothing in your closet. Have you read through all of this and got here and though "wow, this girl is crazy" that's alright, but hear me out. Having dirty clothing in your closet is smarter than you think.

- Home Improvement
- Hair Dye
Being able to go and get a shirt and old jeans that you don't care about to take care of chores will save all your other clothing, but will also give you a slight reward, as you work, you will see dirty, paint, oil or any other residue on your clothing marking how hard you have worked. I have a couple of shirts that have paint and that paint is full of memories as well. Its fun to see history in my old shirts.
