My little sister Brooke is an amazing and Talented Artists. She may not realize yet just how incredible she is, so to help her. I have decided to write about her and also discuss her use of color and imagery to create beautiful works of art. Bird Cage Girl

 This is called Bird Cage Girl Oil paint on canvas, this painting captures a silhouette of a young woman releasing three birds, freedom. The sun can either be setting or rising and the night sky is still visible above including twinkling stars. This wonderful piece was done in 2013 and holds special meaning to the artist.

I love the detail of the girl and the cage she is holding. Her hair moves in the wind in a way that makes you smell the wild flowers blooming and the sun warming the earth. The clouds draw into the vague definition between heaven and earth and the road go on forever, indicating that her journey has just begun with the release of the birds.
